Chad has spent a career prosecuting some of the most dangerous members of society, while protecting the rights of victims and their families. Chad has prosecuted thousands of cases involving crimes such as: OWIs, domestic violence, robberies, shootings, sexual assaults and homicides. As the dangerousness and severity of crimes has increased Chad feels compelled to run for Judge to make sure that the values of Dodge County remain on the bench.
Chad brings an unmatched level of experience in the criminal justice system to the Dodge County bench. Chad spent three years working side by side with police officers as a community prosecutor, there he saw the minute to minute, day to day experiences and stressors that police officer experience. He has conducted over 100 jury trials and has the experience to be an effective judge on day one. This is why the overwhelming majority of Dodge County law enforcements officers support Chad for the position.
Chad also saw firsthand the debilitating and deadly effects of the opioid and methamphetamine epidemics. He has seen the effects drug abuse has on not only the abuser, but also their children and family. Chad has the empathy to give recovering addicts a second chance, while holding those who would prey on the community for profit accountable.
Chad is married to Katie, a Navy veteran and victim witness specialist with the US Attorney’s Office. They have three active boys who range in age from 17 to 3. Chad is a board member with the Beaver Dam Rotary Club and a member of the Dodge County Bar Association. In his spare time Chad is a youth football coach.
